Sibyl Vane is a charming folk-pop band whose music has got a lot of Irish influence. The band has been performing since 1996 in Finland and Ireland in pubs, concerts and business events & parties.
The repertoire of the band consists mainly of Elisa’s compositions of poems in English by various well-known poets. Also included are compositions by Matti Laitinen, as well as some real jewels of vocal and instrumental Irish music.
Playing together for many years has given Sibyl Vane it’s well refined sound.”Sibyl Vane’s rich sound as a band will see it on it’s way to the top of Finnish music.” (Aulis Alatalo, Aamulehti 25.3.2003).
Sibyl Vane’s first album ”Woman of Stone” (1999) was released by Sibelius-Academy. You can find Sibyl Vane’s music also in a collection-CD called “O’Malley’s Music” (2002.)
